I&P Denmark restructures following pensions director departure

Insurance and Pension Denmark (I&P Denmark) has announced it is repositioning following the departure of its long-standing pensions director.

As a result, the executive responsibility for safeguarding interests will fall under the remit of its director of regulation and consumer affairs, Thomas Brenøe, and director of policy and communication, Per Geckler Møller.

It will mean that, going forward, I&P Denmark’s executive board will consist of five members, CEO Kent Damsgaard, director of operations and guarantee funds, Sara Brinks Larsen, and director of I&P industry solutions and finance, Peter Krejberg Nielsen.

“Together with the board of directors, we have laid out a clear and ambitious strategy for F&P, where we want to continue to strengthen our advocacy and work to support and promote the industry's reputation as a provider of pensions, security and welfare. Therefore, we have adjusted the organization to handle this particular task,” I&P Denmark CEO, Kent Damsgaard, said.

He pointed out that the efficient operation of the industry's funds and the management and development of IT solutions for the industry is also an absolute core task for the entire insurance and pension community.

“For I&P Denmark, the task is crystal clear. We must create value for our members so that they can create value for their customers and members. Here, our industry solutions and the industry's foundations are a key task, because they contribute to making it easy, safe and efficient to take out, transfer and use your insurance and pension scheme," he added.

As part of the organisational change, deputy director, Andreas Østergaard Hartington, will be responsible for pension policy and analysis, and deputy director, Tom Vile Jensen, will have an even greater role in the association’s political work on investments and competitiveness.

In addition, Mie Rasbech has been appointed head of department with responsibility for health and pension insurance. In I&P industry solutions, Jacob Nisgaard Larsen, has been appointed business director, and the organisation under IT director, Peder Herbo, has been streamlined.

“We are in an unusually changeable and uncertain world, but fortunately as an industry we are well equipped with strong members who can and will contribute to increasing security and growth in society.

“At the same time, we at I&P Denmark have some deeply competent colleagues, and I am proud and happy about the entire I&P Denmark team, which in the coming years will set a safe course together with our members,” Damsgaard concluded.
